On the Snow of Val di Scalve! Discover the itinerary with us for the snowshoeing excursion to Passo dei Campelli.
Passo dei Campelli is a mountain pass that connects Val Camonica with Val di Scalve. From its altitude of around 1890 meters, you can enjoy a splendid panorama of Cimon della Bagozza and the Small Dolomites of Scalve, the Conca dei Campelli, and Val Camonica. In winter, an easy and safe snowshoeing route allows you to reach it.

After reaching the village of Schilpario, we continue to the locality of Fondi, where we park. If the snow conditions allow, we can already put on our snowshoes and start walking along what in summer is the Vivione road, through the beautiful fir forest.

In a little over an hour of walking, with gentle slopes, we reach Rifugio Cimon della Bagozza, usually open on winter weekends. From here, we leave the Vivione road and follow the signs for Passo dei Campelli, along a track. In about another hour, first through the woods and then across open spaces, we will reach Malga Bassa Campelli and then Malga Alta Campelli. With a final effort of about 20 minutes, we will cover the last stretch to reach Passo dei Campelli. The panorama here rewards us for all the effort, ranging from Monte Cimon della Bagozza to the Small Dolomites of Scalve, Conca dei Campelli, Adamello, and Val Camonica.
The return is then on the same route as the outbound trip.

The excursion doesn’t present any particular difficulties and is suitable for everyone, with a minimum level of fitness.
