Kayak trip to Monte Isola
To the heart of Iseo Lake
An easy kayak tour to discover Lake Iseo and Monte Isola.
Iseo lake is wedged at the end of Valle Camonica, in the heart of the Lombard Prealps, forming a watershed between the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia. Inside, it houses Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Italy and home to the cultural event “The Floating Piers” by the artist Christo, in 2016.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will kayak the surface of this lake and you will admire the beauty of Monte Isola and the pearls it hides.
How the activity is carried out
You will meet your guide at the meeting point and will receive all the necessary technical equipment. A quick briefing will follow during which you will be explained basic paddling techniques and safety procedures. Then you will start exploring the lake with your guide.
Thanks to the kayak you will enjoy a privileged point of view of the lake. First, you will meet the famous island of San Paolo, a small private island. Moving towards Monte Isola, you will then admire the Rocca Martinengo, a defensive castle that overwhelms the coast, and the Ceriola Sanctuary, which dominates the lake from the top.
Paddling along the coast of Monte Isola we will then reach Peschiera Maraglio, the main town of the island. Finally, you will return to the meeting point, to conclude the experience.
The tour will take place also in case of bad weather, with the proviso that the guide reserves the right to decide whether the conditions exist for the trip to be safely and fully run.
