On the tracks of prehistory in Val Camonica.
In this article, we describe an easy trip that is suitable for all seasons to the National Park of Rock Engravings of Naquane, in Val Camonica.

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, it is the most well-known among the archaeological sites and parks in Val Camonica. Inside, immersed in a beautiful 14-acre forest, visitors can admire 104 rocks with incisions dating back to a historical period between the 4th and 1st millennia BC, but with some sporadic incisions from more recent periods.
The park is divided into 5 easy paths, for a total of about 3 km, and visiting the park takes from one to four hours depending on how experienced and interested you are.
To access the park, reach the town of Capo di Ponte in Val Camonica, where we leave the car. On foot, following the numerous signs, in about 10 minutes we will reach the ticket office and then the park entrance.

Always carefully plan your trips, choosing the appropriate material and equipment and verifying the itinerary before embarking on it.
