Between Val Trompia and Iseo lake! Discover with us the itinerary for the hike to Monte Guglielmo

Monte Guglielmo, also known as Gölem in Lombardo, is a well-known and panoramic mountain located along the ridge separating the Trompia Valley from Iseo lake and the Camonica Valley. On its summit, a monument to the Redeemer has been erected. There are numerous paths leading to the summit, and in this article, we will describe the route starting from Pisogne.

We reach Passabocche in Pisogne by car and leave the vehicle in the large dirt parking lot. From here, we take the CAI 201 trail, which takes us to the Medelet Hut in about half an hour. Continuing along the path 201, we reach the base of Dosso Pedalta, where we find a fork in the road. By taking a left, we will reach the summit of monte Guglielmo through the ridge trail (a technically more challenging itinerary). By staying on the CAI 201 trail, we first reach the Almici Hut and then, shortly after, the summit of Monte Guglielmo with the Redeemer Monument.
The summit offers breathtaking views of Iseo lake, the Orobie, the Adamello, and the Dolomites of Brenta on one side, and the Po Valley and, on clear days, the Apennines on the other.

The return is made along the same route traveled on the ascent.
The itinerary requires a minimum level of fitness but does not present any particular difficulties.
You can find the interactive map of the route, complete with altitude and downloadable GPS track, at this link.
Always organize your trips with care, choose appropriate equipment, and verify the itinerary before embarking on it.
