general description

Sea kayaking is a fascinating discipline that allows you to explore lakes, seas, and easy rivers aboard this unique mode of transportation. The perspectives and views you can admire while paddling are privileged and unique, incomparable to those from the ground. In calm water conditions (Beaufort force 0-1), you experience incredible relaxation and serenity, along with a special and evocative connection with the surrounding environment.

Although it’s easy and suitable for everyone, it’s important to remember that we are engaging in a sport activity in a natural environment, which can be potentially wild and hostile. Before each outing, it’s essential to be aware of the challenges we might encounter and to have mastery of our kayak, enabling us to handle the situations that the environment may present.

For this reason, BergamoXP organizes a basic sea kayaking course. This course is designed for those who want to approach the world of sea kayaking with awareness, and its purpose is to provide the knowledge and skills to organize and undertake selfguided excursions in calm or light wind conditions (Beaufort force 0-1) and nearly calm seas (Douglas grade 0-1).

The course will have a very hands-on approach, incorporating both theoretical and, more importantly, practical activities.

Lake Iseo will provide a splendid backdrop for the course, with support from the nautical base of our friends at Sportaction asd. Changing rooms, restrooms, and the option to have lunch at the clubhouse on-site will also be available.

The course is structured over the weekend, totaling approximately 12 effective hours, 6 hours per day, excluding lunch breaks. The topics covered will include:
