THE EXPERIENCE
Snowshoeing is a typical winter activity, an extension of hiking during the winter season, and it represents an excellent way to explore the mountains at a slower pace, as an alternative to skiing. Suitable for all ages, adults, seniors, and children, this activity involves hiking in snowy mountain environments with the help of special snowshoes. These snowshoes increase the surface area of the wearer’s steps, redistributing weight and increasing “float”, preventing you from sinking into the snow.
With evening snowshoeing, you will add to the magic of the snow also the one of the darkness!
Our trips are lead by Alpine Guides, the only professional allowed to guide people on the snow in the mountains. You will also receive an ARTVA transmitter, for the avalanche rescue, which is mandatory for snowshoeing. Don’t trust who don’t use ARTVA and Alpine Guides.
How the activity is carried out
With this experience, we’ll spend a fantastic evening in the snowy Brembana Valley, at the planes of Avaro Mountain.
It’s an easy excursion, suitable for everyone, allowing us to explore this area, with the magic of the darkness. After meeting your Alpine guide, the only professional figure allowed to lead groups on the snow in the mountains, you’ll wear the snowshoes and receive a technical briefing explaining how to use them and how to move in snowy terrain. You will also receive an ARTVA transmitter, mandatory for this activity.
If you don’t have snowshoes, you can rent them from us.
You’ll then be ready to embark on the winter mountain adventure!
At the end of the excursion, those who wish can enjoy a dinner in a mountain refuge, where a typical menu will be waiting for you. You will pay directly at the refuge what you will consume.
