From its summit, a beautiful balcony overlooking Como lake, you can enjoy a stunning view of the city of Lecco, the Grigne, the Resegone on one side and Lake Annone, Garlate and the Brianza on the other. Numerous paths, including alpine routes, lead up to it. In this article, we describe the technically less demanding route, starting from Valmadrera.

We leave the car in one of the many free parking areas in Valmadrera, and then walk to the church and its square, where at one of the corners, we will find the sign with the indicated trails, in particular “ours”, to the top of Moregallo, with number 6/7. We reach the Belvedere location where we will find the signs again. We continue to follow number 6/7, along a cobbled path, to a small chapel, where we continue straight. We then enter the forest, always following the numerous indications, to the Sambrosera spring, where we can catch our breath. We now follow the sign number 6, along the path that becomes much steeper. Without the possibility of making a mistake, we continue along the only path and facing a gully, always with steep slopes, we finally reach the Sambrosera gap. The summit is close and finally the slope decreases. Soon, through wide pastures and meadows, we finally reach the summit and the Madonna Statue that has been built here.

Moregallo – BergamoXP

The return is made along the same route traveled on the ascent.

You can find the interactive map of the route, complete with altitude and downloadable GPS trace, at this link.

Moregallo – BergamoXP

Always organize your trips with care, choose appropriate equipment, and verify the itinerary before embarking on it.

BergamoXP

BergamoXP is the first aquatic sports center in the province of Bergamo.
