In this article we describe the hike to Monte Misma, a modest peak in the Bergamo Prealps. We are at the beginning of Val Seriana, and this peak is one of the first elevations that catches the eye of those who travel up the valley along the provincial road. Located on the ridge that separates Val Seriana from Val Cavallina and Lake Endine (check out our kayak trips on this lake<\/a>), this mountain reaches an altitude of 1,160 meters. It\u2019s ideal to hike in spring, when it\u2019s not yet too hot and the snow has already melted, making it the perfect way to start training and building up your legs for the summer season. Numerous routes lead to the summit and we describe here one of the most classic, starting from Pradalunga.<\/p>\n\n

We reach the hamlet of Cornale with the car, where we can leave the car near the church. From here we take the path 539, which takes us into the woods. As we climb, we reach Pratadolt, a clearing with century-old chestnut trees, which is also recognized by the presence of a small mountain hut, where it is usually possible to find refreshment. We continue on a short flat stretch on the road and then back into the woods, where the slope becomes steeper again and takes us quickly to a second hut. From here, a final steep climb in the woods takes us to the wide and wide grassy ridge, which leads us in a short time to the summit cross. <\/p>\n\n

If our goal is to return to the car in Pradalunga, the return can take place on the same itinerary as the outward journey, or, once we reach Pratadolt, follow the Forcella and from the sanctuary then descend to Pradalunga along the mule track, and finally walk back to the hamlet of Cornale. <\/p>\n\n

This itinerary does not present technical difficulties and is within reach of everyone, with a minimum of training. <\/p>\n\n
